That's pretty cool, what a wonderful image..
I always hated the myth of Icarus, I prefer Prometheus, more my style. None of that warning us not to try, not to strive to achieve, keeping us proles and commoners in our places. Icarus always seems such a negative message. Suppression of people's creativity by the powerful.
I know there's more to it than that, but that's how it has always struck me!
I am with you. Then again, I have never been one for 'know your place' attitudes.
